A Different Way to Learn: STC Introduces Evening Electrotechnology Classes for 2027

Superior Training Centre is introducing a new evening training option for Electrotechnology students from February 2027, providing domestic and international students with the opportunity to attend classes across two evenings each week instead of committing to a full day of study.

The new delivery model is designed to provide greater flexibility for Electrotechnology students balancing their training with employment, family commitments and other responsibilities, while continuing to benefit from face-to-face learning and practical, industry-relevant training.

For many electrical apprentices and Electrotechnology students, attending training during regular working hours can present challenges. A full day away from the workplace can affect project schedules and business operations, particularly for electrical contractors and smaller businesses where every member of the team plays an important role.

By spreading classes across two evenings, STC aims to offer an alternative that allows Electrotechnology students and apprentices to maintain more of their regular daytime work routine without putting their qualifications on hold.

The concept also has historical roots in Australia’s vocational education system. Before daytime trade training became widespread, evening technical classes were a familiar part of apprenticeship education, allowing workers to develop their skills after completing their daily duties.

STC’s approach revisits this traditional model with a modern focus on flexibility, accessibility and industry-relevant Electrotechnology training.

The benefits extend beyond convenience. For employers, evening classes may reduce interruptions to daytime operations and provide greater flexibility when coordinating staffing, electrical projects and training commitments. For students, shorter sessions spread across the week can make study more manageable, particularly for those who would otherwise struggle to allocate an entire working day to their education.

For electrical apprentices and Electrotechnology students, the evening delivery model provides an opportunity to continue developing their technical knowledge and practical skills while remaining engaged in the workplace during the day.

International students may also benefit from having more options to organise their study around personal commitments and permitted working arrangements, while still attending scheduled face-to-face Electrotechnology classes.

The introduction of evening Electrotechnology delivery reflects STC’s broader efforts to adapt vocational education to the changing needs of students and the electrical industry. As the organisation continues to expand its training opportunities, flexible delivery options can help make Electrotechnology education more accessible to a wider range of learners.

The first evening Electrotechnology intake is scheduled for February 2027, with the new timetable available to both domestic and international students.

Rather than replacing traditional daytime training, the evening format will provide another pathway for Electrotechnology students seeking a practical approach to gaining their qualifications while maintaining their daytime work and other commitments.

For STC, the objective is straightforward: provide quality Electrotechnology training that fits more comfortably into the lives of the people who need it.

Students interested in the February 2027 evening Electrotechnology classes can contact Superior Training Centre to learn more about available courses, enrolment requirements and upcoming intake dates.
