Supporting International Students into Trade Careers in Australia

FFS Training

Starting a new life and career in Australia comes with big decisions, especially for international students trying to choose a pathway that is both practical and leads to real outcomes. At Superior Training Centre (STC), the focus has always been on supporting international students in a way that makes those decisions easier — by offering clear, hands-on training that connects directly to industry demand.

Trade careers continue to grow across Australia, particularly in areas like electrical and air conditioning & refrigeration. These are industries that don’t just offer short-term opportunities, but long-term, stable careers with strong earning potential. For many international students, this creates a more direct and reliable pathway into the workforce compared to more traditional study options.

That said, one of the biggest challenges students face is cost — not just tuition, but the ability to commit and secure a place. With that in mind, STC has adjusted its course pricing across its CRICOS trade programs to make entry into these career pathways more accessible.

The Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician tuition fee is currently available at $26,000, while the Certificate III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration is set at $24,000. Alongside this, COE deposits have been reduced by $500, bringing them to $750 for onshore students and $2,750 for offshore students. This adjustment is designed to ease the initial step, making it simpler for students to move forward with confidence.

These arrangements apply to both the May and September 2026 intakes, with deposits required by 31 May 2026 to secure the current pricing.

Beyond pricing, the priority remains the same — delivering practical, industry-aligned training that prepares students for real work environments. Training is delivered through a blend of theory and hands-on experience at STC’s Sydney campus, ensuring students graduate with both the qualification and the skills employers are actively seeking.

For international students, having the right support system can make all the difference. At STC, that means creating opportunities that are not only accessible, but genuinely aligned with long-term career outcomes. It’s not just about starting a course — it’s about starting a future in a trade that is in demand, respected, and full of opportunity.
