NOTE: Prerequisites exist to complete this short course – All Applicants must hold a Trade Qualification or equivalent. Tradespeople in Plumbing and Fitting and Air-Conditioning industries would be interested in undertaking this course.

 

Description

You will require this qualified supervisor certificate if you need to perform the disconnection or reconnection of fixed electrical equipment which is necessary to perform your primary job function.

The purpose of restricted electrical licensing is to provide a means of allowing appropriately trained and competent workers to undertake the straight forward disconnection/reconnection of electrical equipment where that electrical work is incidental to the person’s principal function in the workplace.

Description:
In this course you will develop skills and knowledge relating to isolation of low voltage electrical supplies, disconnection and reconnection of fixed wired low voltage appliances. This course is designed for eligible tradespeople who want to disconnect and reconnect low voltage fixed wired appliances which are incidental or a primary and regular function of work related to a principle work function.

Entry requirements:
The units of competency in this skill set are for people holding a relevant CIII or equivalent in the areas of Plumbing, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Assembly and Servicing White Goods, Domestic Appliances and Equipment and the work is incidental or a primary and regular function of work related to a principle work function.
